Patna had it’s seed of education sown earlier by Sir  Jadunath Sarkar , a professor of Patna College .His monumental work included History of Aurangzeb, Economics of British India, Bihar and Orissa during the fall of Mughal Empire. Patna continued to maintain  its legacy and Patna University also contributed to various branches of knowledge.
